Ming-De International School is clearly positioned as a school that is worthy of consideration for enrolment by International Students. Providing a bilingual approach to leaning (English and Chinese) the school was established in 2021 to serve the educational, spiritual and cultural needs of families interested in their child/ren pursuing Sinology and the teachings of Buddha.
Since the establishment of the School, Ming-De International School Toowoomba Inc (governance body), the Principal, Management team, staff and parents have collaboratively worked to develop a primary school (P-6) and in 2025 added to the type of education offered at the School with a secondary school. Gradually we have been joined by experienced and gifted teachers who have worked tirelessly to develop a student centred, values focused approach to education developing a learning environment that enriches not just their minds, but also the whole individual.
International students are welcome to study full time at Ming-De International School from Prep through to Year 9 (as of 2027) or participate in a short stay program of a minimum of 4 weeks to a maximum of 3 months.
For families and students contemplating an international education experience, the opportunity, once taken, will create unique pathways of learning.
The School is situated just a short drive from the city of Toowoomba in the suburb of Westbrook. With 5.5 hectares there is plenty of room for children to enjoy the semi-rural environment of our school and there is ample room for the school to continue to develop and grow.
By road, we are 90 minutes from Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland, and under two hours from the international airport.
